Customer Reviews for Rinnai R75Lsi
I have read many customer reviews for Rinnai R75LSi and have summarised them below.
The Pros 🙂
Most customer reviews of the R75LSi are positive; ranging from its space-saving design, consistent hot water production, and almost instantaneous hot water the minute you turn on the faucet. Other positive reviews also include visible savings on the utility bills and this unit’s ability to support a wide range and capacity of usage.
Being an Energy-Star certified product also entitles you to tax credits that will be a welcome relief to the relatively higher initial cost of purchasing this unit.
The Cons 🙁
The price of the R75LSi has been mentioned as one of the main issue. Other shortcomings encountered by consumers include brief spurts of cold water, plus the waste of water caused by the delay between turning on the faucet and getting hot water. However to be fair most of these problems arise from improper installation especially its position from the faucet.
Installation of this unit is also more expensive with the venting and materials; it is a different technology with differing installation procedures from a conventional water heater. So it will be good if your installer has prior experience in installing a tankless water heater. Another point to consider is the region where you come from that might determine the temperature of your inherent water supply; if your region is too cold, the maximum temperature of 160 Degrees Fahrenheit might not be sufficient.
Next will be the mixed reponses with respect to the savings in utilities, this have been mentioned by customers as either too long a duration before there are any visible cost savings to almost no savings at all. This is not surprising as research studies conducted by ConsumerReports showed that tankless water heaters are efficient but might not be economical.
