Banjolele is made using PlanWood™; the toy is stained using water-based organic dyes, with less than 1% E-zero formaldehyde-free organic glue utilised for assembly. Softened edges enhances its child-friendly and safe aspects.
PlanWood™ is a flexible and water-resistant material made from compressed sawdust. Addition of colours during the molding process, instead of painting on the finished product, means there is no fear of peeling stain. Hence, this allows the toy to be washable.
Your child can have fun creating different sounds while strumming on the 3 adjustable strings of the PlanToy™ Banjolele. Strings are also replaceable.

Durability of the strings, functional tuning and the sound of the banjolele were mentioned pros. Another advantage was this PlanToy™ model functionality as a transition instrument to gauge your child's interest before a proper string instrument. The durability and quality of the PlanWood™ body was also a mentioned advantage.
There was mixed feedback on the tuning and playing abilities; Tuning pegs not staying in position and lack of musical functionality were mentioned. Customers have mentioned this product would not be suitable for a musically-inclined child. Poor workmanship due to a broken fretboard and not glued well was mentioned.
