As part of my green product range, here is my unbiased review for this dehumidifier.
The Keystone KSTAD70B possessed a clear LED display with in-built electronic controls for easy programming of settings. Two fan speed settings; Normal, Turbo allow you the flexibility to select settings best suited for your environment regardless if it is a dank basement or a room with sensitive equipment.
Like the KSTAD50B, this larger Keystone dehumidifier also possesses a 24-hour timer for overnight programming of dehumidifying schedule.
Auto-defrost function allow the automatic removal of built-up frost on the evaporator coils. Upon the build-up of frost, the compressor will cycle off while the fan will continue to run until the frost disappears.
This Keystone dehumidifier possess a removable, dust filter that is easy to clean. With its transparent water level indicator, you can detect the water level of the bucket easily. There is also the continuous draining option available (hose not included) that prevents overflowing of a full bucket.
The 4 rolling caster wheels allows for easy transportation of KSTAD70B between rooms. Other in-built useful functions include: clean filter alert function that will warn the owner of a clogging filter; full bucket alert with automatic cut off to prevent overflowing; auto-restart option that will saves your settings in the event of a power outage.
This Keystone dehumidifier utilises 15% lesser energy, compared to a similar sized conventional unit, for removal of moisture.

Customers have mentioned that the location of the filter on the top allow for ease of access for cleaning. Cleaning of the filters is crucial in the removal of mould spores or bacteria to lower the risk of possible respiratory disease. The castor wheels allowing for transportation, plug and play installation are other mentioned pros in the design.
Effectiveness in removing moisture; a customer who installed this Keystone dehumidifier in his basement noted a decrease in moisture content from 70% to 55% in 4 hours. The ease of programming a dehumidifying schedule was also mentioned by customers.

There was some feedback about the design and durability of the water bucket, ranging from difficulty in removal for emptying, bad fit for the slot, to cheap material. The Keystone KSTAD70B comes with a full one-year warranty for the 1st year which includes parts and labour. For subsequent years until the 5th year, the warranty is limited to repairing and replacing of parts in the sealed refrigeration system which include compressor, condenser, evaporator and tubing.
